Some very "Morrissey-esque" titles on that album, I see.

Can't wait for the Morrissey stuff but Radio One has refused to add the new single to their playlist, miserable sods.

There is already a campaign on the way to bombard R1 with requests for the song though so heres hoping.

Cant argue with your review there "soft cell" although i wld have rewarded "The first of the gang to die" a couple of more points though, an excellent track, as for Radio 1!! are David Hamilton and Tony Blackburn still presenting on there lol.

Morrissey and The Smiths were never really my cup of tea, they seemed so morose!  I will give the new stuff a go, you never know, I might actually like something! ;D

Wish I was going to the festival.  I always liked the Smiths.  They may have been miserable but a lot of their lyrics were quite funny and Johnny Marr's guitar playing always made me feel warm inside.
I would go out tonight but I haven't got a stitch to wear ...

The Smiths lyrics are some of the best lyrics written in pop music. Absolutely superb. I was originally put off by their morose image, but they are definitely worth the effort.
I'm an ape man, I'm an ape ape man, I'm an ape man
I'm a King Kong man, I'm a voo-doo man
I'm an ape man  I'll be your Tarzan, you'll be my Jane  I'll keep you warm and you'll keep me sane  and we'll sit in the trees and eat bananas all day  Just like an ape man
